The through line
At first glance, software, insurance, and investing can look like separate careers. I see the same responsibility inside each one: understand a consequential decision, remove the noise around it, and create a path people can trust.
That is the operating philosophy behind my work. I start with the human need, make the strategy explicit, and carry that clarity through the product, the language, and the long-term direction. The work should be useful on day one and worthy of confidence years later.
Founder-led ventures
Through Diesan Romero LLC, I build and operate ventures I stand behind personally. Ownership matters because it changes the time horizon: every decision must serve the relationship, not just the launch.
- Who Was Here is a place-first social platform for preserving memories and discovering the human stories attached to real locations.
- Romero's Insurance is my licensed practice for helping people understand health and life insurance options and make informed protection decisions.
Product work for organizations
Alongside my own ventures, I build digital platforms for organizations and communities. That work includes the Every Benefits education experience, its Pulse operations portal, and the digital home of Logia Perseverancia No. 413. Each project is different, but the standard is the same: make important information easier to understand and act on.
How I operate
I combine venture strategy, product development, mobile and web execution, and brand storytelling. I care about the connective tissue between them — because a sound strategy with an unclear product, or a strong product with an untrustworthy story, is still an incomplete experience.
Insurance keeps me close to the real consequences of risk. Investing reinforces patience, research, and disciplined judgment. Product building turns those principles into systems people can use. Together, they create a founder's perspective grounded in responsibility and long-term thinking.
